Heat Advisory — Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday Customers
Due to extreme heat and disposal site closures, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday collection will begin at 5:00 AM. To ensure your service is not missed, please have all carts and bins at the curb the evening before your collection day or no later than 5:00 AM on your collection morning.
- • Tuesday customers: carts out Monday evening or before 5:00 AM Tuesday
- • Wednesday customers: carts out Tuesday evening or before 5:00 AM Wednesday
- • Thursday customers: carts out Wednesday evening or before 5:00 AM Thursday

Cart & Bin Placement
- All carts & bins must be out no later than 6:00am on pick up day
- Carts & red bin must be within 5 feet of the curb or roadside
- Place carts at least 3 feet apart from each other
- Carts must be at least 5 feet from cars or other objects
- Carts must have at least 20 feet of vertical clearance
- DO NOT place carts under basketball hoops, overhanging branches or other fixed objects below 20 feet.

Battery Disposal — Do Not Place in Trash or Recycling Cart
Batteries are not allowed loose in your garbage or recycling cart. Improperly disposed batteries are a leading cause of fires in collection trucks and at disposal sites. However, properly prepped batteries can be placed in your red glass bin on your regular glass collection day.
How to prep batteries for the red glass bin:
- 1. Tape — Tape the ends of all batteries except alkaline with clear tape (lithium, Li-ion, and rechargeable). If unsure of the type, tape it to be safe. Wrap tape around button/coin batteries or sandwich them between two layers of tape.
- 2. Bag — Place batteries in a 1-quart, zip-sealed clear plastic bag. Limit of one bag per pickup.
- 3. Bin — Set the sealed bag on top of any glass in your red glass bin. The red bin must be placed at the curb on your glass collection day for batteries to be collected — even if you have no glass. We recommend waiting until you have almost a full bag of batteries before putting them in the bin.
